Celist Arnone, Pianist Huckleberry Perform at SU April 21

SALISBURY, MD---Acclaimed cellist Tony Arnone and award-winning pianist Alan Huckleberry perform 2 p.m. Saturday, April 21 in the Great Hall of Salisbury University’s Holloway Hall. Their program includes works by Claude Debussy, George Rochberg, Ildebrando Pizzetti, Dmitri Shostakovich and George Gershwin.

Arnone is assistant professor of cello at the University of Iowa and is a founding member of the Meridien Trio and the Sedgewick String Quartet. He is on the faculty of the Eastern Music Festival in Greensboro, NC, where he teaches, conducts and performs chamber and orchestral music during the summer. He is also on the faculty of the Preucil School of Music in Iowa City, IA, where he conducts the Preucil School String Orchestra. He has given master classes throughout the country.

Huckleberry is assistant professor of piano pedagogy and collaborative arts at the University of Iowa. He has performed both in recitals and as a soloist with orchestras in Germany, England, the Czech Republic, Italy, Austria, Spain, France and the United States. His performance prizes include the German National Competition and University of Michigan Concerto Competition.
