CPD Co-sponsors Healing Workshop Friday, April 16

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Center for Professional Development co-sponsors the educational workshop “Healing the Emotional Components of Cancer and Chronic Illness” from 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Friday, April 16, in the Montgomery Room at the Commons. The workshop features Tapas Acupressure Technique developer Tapas Fleming, who speaks on ways those with cancer may improve their spiritual and bodily health. Topics covered include: Techniques to attain peace about traumas associated with cancer Ways to heal cancer’s emotional roots How to become empowered to deal with medical providers to feel confident about working together as a healing team Ways to provide directives for energy, pleasure and vibrant health Fleming began her spiritual quest at age 15, focusing on enlightenment and emotional release. After losing premature twins and coming close to dying herself, she went to school to learn acupuncture and focus on her own healing. The workshop also includes the presentation “Awaking the Healer Within You” by Veronica Correa, who opens for Fleming. Cost is $90 per person and includes a continental breakfast and lunch. Registration deadline is Friday, April 9. Evergreen Cove Holistic Learning Center Inc. co-sponsors the event. Fleming speaks at Evergreen Cove from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Thursday, April 15.
