Brown Bag Series Salutes Women's History Month

SALISBURY, MD---Dr. Kristen Walton, history faculty at Salisbury University speaks on “A Woman in A Man’s Profession: Switching Genders in Early Modern Europe” noon Wednesday, March 9, in the Social Room of Holloway Hall.

Walton has published several papers and performed research pertaining to women’s studies including her latest manuscript, Catholic Queen, Protestant Patriarchy: Mary Queen of Scots and the politics of gender and religion, 1561-73. She also led a roundtable discussion at the Attending to Early Modern Women Conference on “Downward Mobility: Royal and Noble Women Negotiating Lower Status.”

The talk is part of SU’s Brown Bag Lunch Discussion Series and Women’s History Month celebration. Light refreshments will be served. Admission is free and the public is invited.
