Berkman Publishes Article on Challenges of Diabetes Insipidus

SALISBURY, MD---Jennifer Berkman, director of Student Health Services at Salisbury University recently was published in the Diabetes Insipidus Foundation newsletter Endless Waters. Her article, “Help! My Kid’s Leaving! How to Manage a Successful Transition to College Life,” explores the difficulties that students and their parents face when making the transition between home and college.  She focuses on students who have chronic health problems, specifically diabetes insipidus, and the challenges they have in managing the transition to a new environment.  She gives advice to parents to help them deal with their student’s health when he or she is living away from home.
