SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Foundation recently recognized Roy Beauchamp with the “Distinguished Board Member of the Year” award. Beauchamp was presented the plaque by his fellow board members in recognition of his 18 years of service to the institution and the SU Foundation.

“The work that Roy and his co-chair Dick Young did with the SU Golf Classic and other institution and foundation projects over the last 18 years has been tremendous,” said Kim Nechay, assistant director of the SU Foundation. “Roy’s involvement has meant a great deal.”

During his tenure as co-chair of the golf tournament, $500,000 was raised for scholarships, campus programs and faculty and staff grants.
