Art Culture Nature Conference Call for Papers

SALISBURY, MD---The Third International Conference of Art Culture Nature, an association for the study of the arts and the environment, will be held at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, June 25-26, 2001.

Sponsored by Northern Arizona University’s Program in Community, Culture and Environment and Salisbury State University, the ACN Conference will focus on the theme of public art, said Dr. Andrew Hepburn, professor at Salisbury State University and ACN public relations director.

Lucy Lippard, nationally known arts theorist, will be the keynote speaker. Other featured speakers include Joni Waite, noted Kenyan artist, and David Fichter, noted muralist.

The deadline for "Call for Papers and Presentations" is January 15, 2001. Activities include a trip to Roden Crater on June 24. Situated at the foot of the San Francisco peaks with Sedona to the south and the Grand Canyon to the northwest, Northern Arizona University is an ideal site for the ACN Conference, said Hepburn.
