Alpha Phi Omega Donates to Diakonia Shelter Through Line of Hope Clothing Drive

Alpha Phi Omega Line of HopeSALISBURY, MD---The Alpha Phi Omega service fraternity at Salisbury University recently hosted its second annual Line of Hope clothing drive for Ocean City’s Diakonia emergency and transitional shelter.

Organizers planned the campus event throughout April to provide support and raise awareness of the local homeless population. SU students and staff supported the drive by donating more than 1,100 gently used clothing items.

Diakonia offers a wide range of services for homeless individuals and those in danger of becoming homeless, including emergency housing, a food pantry and thrift store, counseling, assistance in finding support programs, and financial aid.
