Access 26 Debuts Focus on Health Series" 

SALISBURY, MD---The Department of Nursing at Salisbury State University and Access26 announce the debut of a new television series, "Focus on Health." This series, hosted by Lisa Seldomridge, chair of the SSU Department of Nursing, is designed to provide useful information about staying healthy for the citizens of Wicomico County.

The first program, "Staying Healthy in Mid-Life and Beyond," features SSU Professor Vonnie Brown, a community health nurse who discusses the importance of the body, mind and spirit in maintaining health.

The series will air on Tuesdays at 8 a.m. and 8 p.m., Friday and Saturday at 11 a.m. on Community Access Television Channel 26 in Wicomico County. Comments from viewers are welcome as the series will target issues of interest to the people of Delmarva.

Future programs scheduled for broadcast include: "Preventive Maintenance for People Over Age 40"; "Spotlight on Women's  Health: The Importance of Breast Self Examination"; "Spotlight on Women's Health: Mammograms without Fear"; "Spotlight on Women's Health: Myths about Menopause"; "Spotlight on Men's Health"; "Spotlight on Youth: Child/Adolescent Depression"; "Spotlight on Youth: Use of Medication in Children"; and "End of Life Issues."
