SU's Fulton Public Humanities Lecture Series Continues with Malinda Lo November 2
SALISBURY, MD---Author Malinda Lo discusses “Representing LGBTQ Characters in Young Adult Literature” as the next speaker in Salisbury University’s Fulton Public Humanities Lecture Series.
Her presentation is 7 p.m. Thursday, November 2, in Conway Hall Room 153.
Lo’s novel Ash, a lesbian retelling of Cinderella, was a finalist for the William C. Morris Young Adult Debut Award, Andre North Award for Young Adult Science Fiction and Fantasy, and Mythopoeic Fantasy Award. It also was named a Kirkus Best Book for Children and Teens.
She also has written several other young adult fiction books featuring bisexual and lesbian themes, including Inheritance and A Line in the Dark, the latter scheduled for release this October.
