Antoinette Ford Great Leader Lecturer October 3
SALISBURY, MD -- Antoinette "Toni" Ford, founder and CEO of Projected Reality Corporation (PRC), will be the featured speaker in the Great Leader Lecture Series at Salisbury State University on Tuesday, October 3, at 3:30 p.m. in Holloway Hall Auditorium. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Throughout her career, Ford has been comfortable wearing many hats including those of technologist, scientist, oceanographer and entrepreneur. Possessing the ability to forecast new technology application uses earned her the title of "visioneer" from her colleagues.
Ford’s most recent enterprise, PRC, a technology firm launched last year, develops evolutionary technology to provide a gateway for value-added applications in the entertainment, advertising and distance learning industries.
The most exciting effort to date is our research and development work on thin flat panel display technology," said Ford. "Working with NASA, PRC is building what will be the next generation of TV, computer and video monitors. The ability to go both thin and large in video displays will open up whole new applications for their use only imagined before," Ford said.
In 1998 Ford served as CEO of TelSpanServices Inc., an information management services company based in Maryland. TelSpanServices’ products address the emerging and rapidly growing Intelligent Transportation Systems market segment encompassing all forms of communication and automation related to mass transit. Prior to establishing TelSpanServices, Ford founded TELSPAN International Inc. For more than a decade, she served as president and CEO of this multimedia communications company. Prior positions include plant manager for General Motors and positions in the federal government including administrator for the Agency for International Development.
