February 12 Fundraiser to Benefit SU Alternative Spring Break Assistance Project

The Green Turtle logoSALISBURY, MD---While many of their contemporaries are sunning themselves in Florida and more tropical locations this March, a group of 21 Salisbury University students will spend their spring break in New Orleans, assisting the area as it continues to rebuild from the devastation of 2005’s Hurricane Katrina.

Area residents have an opportunity to help them get to Louisiana through The Greene Turtle’s Funds for Friends program. All diners presenting a special flyer at the Salisbury restaurant on Friday, February 12, will have 20 percent of the cost of their purchases donated to the SU Volunteer Center, which sponsors the alternative spring break project.

To request a flyer, or for more information, email Samantha Beck at sbeck1@gulls.salisbury.edu or call the SU Career Services Office at 410-543-6075. Flyers also may be picked up at Career Services, Guerrieri University Center Room 133.
