Salisbury Film Society Presents 'Boyhood' February 8

Boyhood PosterSALISBURY, MD—The Salisbury Film Society presents the award-winning Boyhood 2:30 p.m. Sunday, February 8, in Fulton Hall 111.

Currently nominated for five Academy Awards for the 2015 season, including Best Motion Picture of the Year, Boyhood is a coming of age drama written and directed by Richard Linklater. The film was shot over a span of 12 years with the same cast, including Ethan Hawke and Patricia Arquette, and tells the story of growing up through the eyes of a child named Mason, who literally matures before the audience’s eyes.

“Richard Linklater's latest feels more like living a life than watching a movie. It's a one-of-a-kind experience” said Rafer Guzman of Newsday.  Ann Hornaday of The Washington Post saw “a film that dares to honor small moments and the life they add up to, ‘Boyhood’ isn't just a masterpiece. It's a miracle”.

Boyhood and cast received Golden Globes for Best Motion Picture, Best Director and Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role.
