SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Center for Student Achievement (CSA) has received international tutor training certification from the College Reading and Learning Association (CRLA).
CRLA-certified programs meet or exceed an internationally accepted standard of skills and training for tutors. CRLA certification is endorsed by other organizations including the Association of Colleges for Tutoring and Learning Assistance, Association for the Tutoring Profession, National Association for Developmental Education, National College Learning Center Association and National Center for Developmental Education.
“Certification from CRLA not only places the CSA in good company with similar programs throughout the country, but reinforces that we are doing the right things to reach our overall goal of maximizing student success,” said Dr. Heather Holmes, CSA director.
Guided by the Council of Student Achievement and Success, the CSA works with students to help them reach their academic potential. Located in Guerrieri University Center Room 213, hours are 8 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Thursday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Friday and 5-9 p.m. Sunday.
