SALISBURY, MD---The Lower Shore Child Care Resource Center (LSCCRC) at Salisbury University celebrates the Month of the Young Child in April with a free family concert Friday, April 12.
Early childhood consultant, curriculum writer and recording artist Dr. Mike performs at 7 p.m. in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center. His “Sing to Read” program combines classic children’s songs, such as Wheels on the Bus, with contemporary hip-hop, rock, Reggae and Latin rhythms and visual learning tools to create a multisensory approach to literacy education.
Sponsored by the LSCCRC and the Judy Centers of Wicomico and Worcester counties, admission is free, but tickets are required. An all-day conference for early educators follows Saturday, April 13.
The LSCCRC is grant funded by the Maryland State Department of Education. To reserve tickets for the concert or for more information on the conference call the center at 410-543-6650.
