SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s Electronic Gallery continues its Sonic Arts Series with Pamela Z’s “Baggage Allowance” October 15-31 in Teacher Education and Technology Center (TETC) Room 128.
A special live performance featuring voice, live processing, samples and interactive video is 4 p.m. Thursday, October 18, with an artist talk following. An interactive music and performance workshop is noon Friday, October 19. All are in TETC 317.
World-renowned artist Pamela Z is a composer, performer and media artist who creates works combining a wide range of vocal techniques with electronic processing, samples, gesture-activated MIDI controllers and video. She has toured extensively throughout the United States, Europe and Japan.
Her awards include prestigious fellowships from the John Simon Guggenheim Memorial Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts, as well as the CalArts Alpert and ASCAP awards and a Djerrassi Resident Artist Program residency, among others.
