Tornado Watch for Wicomico County Extended to 2 a.m.

SALISBURY, MD---The National Weather Service (NWS) is predicting severe thunderstorms in the Salisbury area this evening into early Saturday morning. A tornado watch remains in effect for Wicomico County until 2 a.m. A watch is issued when conditions are favorable for the formation of a tornado.

Storms may be accompanied by strong winds and possibly damaging hail. Officials encourage those outside to be alert for flying debris. Outdoor items that could become airborne in strong winds should be secured.
