Franklin P. Perdue Museum of Business and Entrepreneurship Now Open

Perdue MuseumSALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University celebrates Perdue Farms and other Eastern Shore businesses at the Franklin P. Perdue Museum of Business and Entrepreneurship.

Located in SU’s Perdue Hall and recently unveiled during the ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new building, the museum opened to the public Thursday, September 15. Hours are 1-4 p.m. Monday-Friday. Parking is in Lot C, adjacent to the hall’s south entrance.

From Arthur W. Perdue’s 1908 diploma from Eastern Shore Business College to Frank Perdue’s legendary commercials to international products overseen by Jim Perdue today, the museum is a treasure trove of Perdue history. Computer stations allow visitors to search through the company’s digital archives. Also included is a rotating display honoring entrepreneurs that share Perdue’s values. The first is Richard Bernstein.

The Perdue Museum is one of the few campus-based business museums in the United States.

Admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6030 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu.
