SALISBURY, MD---Children are invited to embrace their creative sides while positively interacting with their peers during this summer’s Young Writers Camps.
Sessions are held Monday-Friday, July 11-15, at Berlin Intermediate School in Berlin, MD, and July 18-22 and 25-29 at Salisbury University.
The camps provide fun, safe environments for children entering grades one through eight at the Berlin location and entering grades one through eleven at the Salisbury location. Students choose topics of personal interest, write in a variety of genres for real audiences, and participate in games, art projects and other activities to inspire writing.
They also use technology to publish and present, read and discuss literature, respond to peers’ writing, receive one-on-one instruction from experienced teachers, and share writing with teachers and family at a culminating ceremony. The works will be published in the camps’ annual summer anthology.
Tuition is $160 per week. To sign up or for more information call Kristina Belcher at 410-677-0240 or e-mail at email@example.com.
