Nabb Gallery Presents 'Exploration and First Contact' Exhibit

SALISBURY, MD---The first contact with Europeans brought profound changes for Native Americans on the Delmarva Peninsula and the Eastern Shore landscape in general.

Salisbury University’s Edward H. Nabb Research center for Delmarva History and Culture Gallery, 190 Wayne St., offers a look at that changing period in the exhibit “Exploration and First Contact: Delmarva, 1609-1732,” opening Monday, August 30. The exhibit remains through Friday, May 20, 2011.

Gallery hours are 1-4 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday or by appointment. The gallery is closed on holidays. Admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6312 or visit the Nabb Research Center Web site at
