Obama Interactive Campaign Manager Speaks at SU February 11

SALISBURY, MD---During the 2008 campaign, presidential candidate Barack Obama was credited with revolutionizing the campaign process through innovative applications of Web-based marketing tools—a feat that helped him get elected to the White House.

The brainchild behind that revolution, Obama’s online advertising campaign manager Emily Williams, shares some of the strategies used 3 p.m. Wednesday, February 11, in Caruthers Hall Auditorium at Salisbury University.

An interactive account executive with MSHC Partners of Washington, D.C., Williams also speaks on life behind the scenes on the digital campaign trail, managing accounts on popular networking sites including Facebook, MySpace and Twitter.

Sponsored by the Franklin P. Perdue School of Business and the SU chapter of the American Marketing Association, her talk is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6030 or visit the SU Web site at
