SU Grad Students Host 'Learn by Doing' Seminar May 10

Salisbury, MD---Are you a coach or parent who works closely with athletes?  A fitness buff who wants practical tips on injury prevention and performance enhancement?

On Saturday, May 10, Salisbury University graduate students present a day-long “Learn by Doing” seminar in Maggs Gym.  Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.

The seminar is designed to provide useful knowledge for parents, coaches and athletes on topics including nutrition and training to prevent injury.  Other presentations explore dynamic warm-ups, strength training for youth, exercise techniques, the dangers of performance enhancement drugs, and more.  All 14 presenters are currently earning a master’s degree in Strength and Conditioning at SU.

The seminar is free and the public is invited.  All participants must sign a waiver and are encouraged to come dressed for activity.  For more information or a full schedule of presentations, contact Matthew Nein at 410-543-6345 or by email at manein@salisbury.edu.
