SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s ShoreENERGY™ program offers its first “Energy Forecast” 8 a.m. Friday, April 13, in the Frederick Room of The Commons.
Provided by Dr. Danny Ervin, ShoreENERGY™ director, the forecast examines energy needs of the Delmarva Peninsula. Ervin, of SU’s Department of Economics and Finance, highlights possible alternative energy sources and the associated costs.
As the Energy, Economics and Sustainability Program of SU’s Perdue School of Business, ShoreENERGY™ seeks to educate the campus and community about energy issues facing the Delmarva Peninsula. These include limited power supplies and an aging infrastructure, Ervin said.
ShoreENERGY™ was developed to foster an understanding of the region’s energy needs, to encourage research and to promote the use of state-of-the-art energy technology.
The talk is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-543-6030 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu.
