AMi Seagull Studios Hosts Grand Opening Wednesday, June 21
SALISBURY, MD---AMi Studios has recently combined with Seagull Studios to form AMi Seagull Studios, and has relocated from its previous location on Goddard Parkway north of Salisbury to the WSCL/WSDL radio station offices on the campus of Salisbury University.
The merger promotes an increased versatility in digital recording capabilities and doubles the size of the microphone arsenal, which includes notable brands such as Neumann, AKG and Audio Technica.
AMi Seagull Studios invites music lovers to attend the grand opening of the new location Wednesday, June 21, from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. The event will include gift session giveaways. A jam session is 6-8 p.m.
AMi Studios was founded in 2000 by performer and songwriter Suzanna Mallow, whose band Red Letter Day has toured nationally and performed with such artists as Edwin McCain, Dar Williams and Little Feat. In a short time the studio has grown from a home-based operation and has come to attract artists to the Delmarva Peninsula from as far as South Carolina, New York, and the Washington, D.C., and Chicago metropolitan areas. Mallow continues her music career on the staff of AMi Seagull Studios and also conducts a regional tour this summer with her new initiative, the Suzanna Mallow Band.
Also on staff with AMi Seagull Studios is John Foster, a graduate of University of Maryland Eastern Shore and former CAD designer with Davis, Bowen and Friedel. Music is Foster’s first love and is the reason he made the decision in 2005 to join AMi. Foster brings an extensive production knowledge of hip hop and electronic music.
Together Mallow and Foster draw upon a wide base of expertise and can accommodate all styles of music from metal to meditative. The studio has a drum kit, music workstation and a grand piano and charges one low, flat rate for studio time to encourage creativity. AMi Seagull Studios will also accommodate home studio owners who want to bring in their own digital recorders for plug and play tracking, mixing or mastering. For more information call 410-546-6204 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
