Sunset Yoga Series September 11-October 2 at SU

Dr. Debbie Easterling
SALISBURY, MD---Yoga is the ancient Asian practice of postures, breathing and meditation. This fall, Salisbury University offers opportunities to learn about this traditional exercise during a Sunset Yoga Series as part of its “Artists of Asia” cultural events series.

The four-week yoga program begins 6 p.m. September 11 and continues every Monday through October 2 on the Holloway Hall Lawn. Dr. Debbie Easterling, chair of SU’s Management and Marketing Department and an certified yoga instructor, conducts the classes. Easterling is a member of the Kripalu Yoga Teacher Association and a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance. Instruction blends several styles, including Kripalu and Vinyasa sequences, which incorporate basic hatha yoga postures.

Loose clothing is required. Participants should bring their own towels or yoga mats.

Sponsored by the Office of Cultural Affairs, admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-219-2872 or visit the SU Web site at
