Cockey Appointed to SSO Board of Directors

>SALISBURY, MD---Dr. Linda Cockey, chair of the Department of Music at Salisbury University, has been selected to serve on the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra Board of Directors.

>“It is an honor to be elected to the board,” said Cockey. “It brings the Department of Music closer to the Symphony.”

>A classical pianist, Cockey has studied with Robert Bailey, William Fairlamb, Susan Starr and Thomas Mastroianni.

>She holds a Doctorate of Musical Arts from Catholic University of America and attended Bay View Conservatory of Music in Bay View, MI, where she received a piano scholarship for two consecutive summers.

>She has performed throughout the mid-Atlantic region and has been a guest soloist with the SSO.
