Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele Speaks at SU October 5

class=""MsoNormal"">SALISBURY, MD---Maryland Lieutenant Governor Michael Steele speaks on politics and state affairs 2 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, in the Worcester Room of the Commons at Salisbury University.

class=""MsoNormal"">Involved in politics for many years, Steele was elected chair of the Maryland State Republican Party in 2000. In addition to his duties as lieutenant governor, Steele also serves as a member of the Executive Committee of the Republican National Committee and has been mentioned as a possible U.S. Senate candidate in 2006. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Johns Hopkins University in international relations in 1981 and his law degree from Georgetown University in 1991.

class=""MsoNormal"">Outside the State House, Steele hosts Lunchtime with Maryland’s GOP, a radio program on WOLB (1010 AM) in Baltimore. He also has appeared on numerous radio and television programs, including Politically Incorrect with Bill Maher, Metro Talk, The Joe Madison Show, Extra, Capitol Sunday and BET Tonight. In addition, he has written columns and editorials for The Washington Post, The Sun, The Washington Times and The Journal newspapers.
