No-Cash Poker Tournament to Benefit Humane Society

SALISBURY, MD---Card players take note: Salisbury University’s Perdue School of Business’ Marketing 331 Promotion Management class hosts a no-cash Texas Hold’em poker tournament noon-8 p.m. Saturday, April 16, in the Nanticoke Room of the Guerrieri University Center. Registration is $20 per person. Registration can be done online at http://www.ocmotorscooters.com/charitypoker.html by credit card. Proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Wicomico County. The humane society provides animal adoption services, spay and neuter programs, information for pet owners and a resource for investigating animal cruelty reported within the county. For more information call 410-749-7603. Players participate for points during the tournament. No buy-ins will be available once a player’s chips are exhausted. Progressive blinds double after the first three hours and every half hour after 3 p.m. Seats are limited to 110, and players must be at least 18-years-old. Prizes are available to the top four scorers as of 8 p.m. and include summer passes to Seacrets in Ocean City.
