SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Gospel Choir celebrates its 19th anniversary Friday-Saturday, November 14-15. The Choir, which is one of a variety of religious organizations at SU, performs at Eastern Shore churches throughout the year. Debbie Johnson, who is a member of the staff at the SU bookstore, volunteers as an advisor to the choir.

The choir hosts a consecration service, featuring Pastor Irvin Jackson and the choir of the Living Word Church of Deliverance in Parksley, VA, in the Wicomico Room of the Guerrieri University Center at 6:30 p.m. Friday, November 14.

A 19th Anniversary Celebration is 6:30 p.m. Saturday, November 15, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall. The theme is “When My Season Comes.” Guests include Carlton Cartwright and Future Generation, Carrie Campbell and the Cathedral of Deliverance Dance Company and Evangelist Cheryl Jackson as Master of Ceremonies.

Jackson is the program director for Heaven 1580, a radio station out of Washington D.C. Both Jackson and Cartwright are SU alumni, and Campbell graduates in December.

The events are free and the public is cordially invited. For more information, call 410-543-6030 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu.
