Celebrate La Semaine du Français November 5-11

SALISBURY, MD---Dr. Arlene White, associate professor of Modern Languages at Salisbury University, invites all francophiles and francophones to join SU in La Semaine du Français 2003, a campuswide celebration of National French Week, Wednesday-Tuesday, November 5-11.

A French dinner will be served in the Bistro of the Commons Wednesday, November 5. The $8.50 meal includes salmon, duck, chicken and assorted vegetables and desserts.

Dr. Tim O’Rourke, Dean of the Fulton School of Liberal Arts, leads a seminar on the history of the Louisiana Purchase on Thursday, November 6 at 7 p.m. in Fulton Hall 111.

All are invited to Adam’s Ribs restaurant in Fruitland to enjoy French language and culture On Friday, November 7 from 4:30-5:30 p.m. for la Société Française, a group that meets monthly for French conversation.

The music department presents and “An Evening of French Music” at 7 p.m., Monday, November 10, in the Great Hall of Holloway Hall.

My Mother’s Castle, a French film about the life of Marcel Pagnol, airs 7 p.m., Tuesday, November 11, in the Pocomoke Room of the Guerrieri University Center. The film is a sequel to My Father’s Glory, and is shown in French with English subtitles.
