"How to Start and Manage Your Own Business" Seminar Offered March 18 at St. Michael's Bank in Easton

SALISBURY, MD-- The Maryland Small Business Development Center along with Chesapeake College, Salisbury State University, Talbot County Chamber of Commerce and the Upper Shore Chapter of Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE) offers the workshop "How to Start and Manage Your Own Business" on Thursday, March 18, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at St. Michaelās Bank in Easton.

The workshop, taught by experienced professionals, covers the business plan, banking requirements, insurance needs, marketing, record keeping and legal aspects. Class fee is $40 and includes lunch and handouts.

The Small Business Development Center offers a full schedule of training seminars as well as free counseling to businesses and those thinking about going into business. The Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is a program of the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Maryland Business Schoolās Dingman Center for Entrepreneurship. Chesapeake College, in conjunction with SSUās Franklin P. Perdue School of Business, supports a satellite office for small business consulting at the Wye Mills campus and in each of the Upper Shore counties serviced by Chesapeake College.
