Small Speaks on Zora Neale Hurston Book November 9

SALISBURY, MD---Dr. Clara L. Small, professor of history at Salisbury University, leads a book discussion and lecture at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday November 9 at the Worcester County Public Library in Ocean City, MD. Discussion focuses on Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston. It is the story of the transformation of a woman into a rebel heroine who does not conform to the traditional rules of society or the beliefs of her neighbors. Their Eyes Were Watching God is the last of the five-part book series “Scarlet Women: Rebel Heroines in Literature” coordinated by Delmarva Discussions.  The program is funded by the Community Foundation of the Eastern Shore and supported in part by the Delaware Division of Libraries.
