"Loeffler Joins Small Business Development Center"

SALISBURY, MD--Richard (Rich) Loeffler has recently joined the Eastern Shore Region of the Maryland Small Business Development Center Network as a business consultant.

Loeffler’s experience has been as employee and owner of a small business on the Eastern Shore for over 20 years; he retired in 1998 after serving the last four years as chairman of the board.  After earning a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from Newark (NJ) College of Engineering, Loeffler began his career in the engineering and manufacturing areas of business in the New Jersey metropolitan area before moving to the Eastern Shore where his career has spanned all segments of operating a small business, including sales, management and marketing, and financial management.

Loeffler will be working out of the Eastern Shore Small Business Development Center satellite office at Chesapeake College.  The Chesapeake College Center services Queen Anne’s, Kent, Talbot and Caroline county residents and businesses.

Consultants at the Center provide guidance to new and prospective business owners in planning, capital formation and marketing.  They also help existing businesses control and manage growth and offer advice for those expanding or acquiring other businesses.  Counseling is free to clients and referrals are not necessary. The mission of the SBDC is job creation and retention as well as to increase the general economic development for the Eastern Shore.
