"Opera Trip Reservations Begin Feb. 7"

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury State University Office of Cultural Affairs and Museum Programs is sponsoring a bus trip on Friday, February 23, to New York City to see the Italian opera La Traviata by Giuseppe Verdi at the Metropolitan Opera. The performance is a love story set in the 18th century Paris.

A bus will depart from the Dogwood parking lot outside the Guerrieri University Center on Friday, February 23, at 8 a.m. and return to Salisbury at about 5 a.m. the following morning. 

Forty-two tickets will go on sale at the Guerrieri Center Information Desk on Wednesday, February 7, and continue through Thursday, February 22, or until all tickets are sold. The price includes one opera ticket and transportation to and from New York. 

Sign-up dates for full-time SSU students will start on Wednesday, February 7, and cost $25. Faculty, staff and part-time students will be able to sign up on Friday, February 9. Their cost is $25. On Monday, February 12, any remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public at a cost of $75.
