NACUFS Web Site

SALISBURY, MD--Salisbury State University Dining Services and its innovative conference and dining facility, the Commons, are featured on the National Association of College and University Food Services (NACUFS) Web site in a virtual tour. By going to www.nacufs.org and following the prompts, people can learn about Salisbury State, the Commons and Dining Services in a Web tour designed for dining services professionals but useful for anyone looking to learn more about SSU.

We re very proud to be one of the few universities NACUFS has asked to create a virtual tour, said Carmen A. DiSylvestro, associate director of University Dining Services. It s a wonderful opportunity to share our Dining Services success story with others and to tell them more about Salisbury State University.

Over the summer, SSU Dining Services developed a script to represent the many changes in its dining capabilities made possible by the new Commons, which opened in summer 1997. Photographers then illustrated aspects of the tour, such as the elegant Rotunda Courtyard, point-of-service meal preparation and the flexibility of the building s floor plan with still and 360-degree photographs. NACUFS has 611 member colleges and universities nationwide, including Salisbury State. Its Web site facilitates the sharing of information among them with features like virtual tours.
