Dr. William Zak presents Work-in-Progress Colloquium May 11

SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury State University Department of English presents its first Work-in-Progress Colloquium on Thursday, May 11, at 3:30 p.m. in Fulton Hall Room 111. Dr. William Zak reads his paper, "A Mirror for Lovers: Shakespeare's Sonnets and the Curious Perspective Tradition," which is an extract from Dr. Zak's book-length manuscript on the complexities of Shakespeare's sonnets.

Zak has taught at Salisbury State for almost 30 years. His scholarship, exemplary teaching and service to the University have earned him numerous accolades including SSU's Distinguished Faculty Award. Zak has published two books: Sovereign Shame: A Study of King Lear and The Polis and the Devine Order: The Oresteia, Sophocles and the Defense of Democracy.
