Annual SU Art Faculty Exhibition August 31-September 26

SALISBURY, MD---Salisbury University’s annual Art Faculty Exhibition, August 31-September 26 in the University Gallery of Fulton Hall, features works by members of SU’s Art Department.

A music faculty recital and art faculty reception is 5:30-8 p.m. Friday, September 10, in the Fulton Hall Lobby and Room 112.

Complementing to their teaching mission, the art faculty are dynamic contemporary artists. Their annual exhibit provides the only forum for works of the entire SU art faculty to be viewed side-by-side in one space.

The strength and breadth of faculty work across media—in ceramics, design, painting, printmaking, photography, drawing, sculpture, glass and graphic arts—are revealed by the continuous expansion of the department and by the increasing number of students declaring their major in art.

Art faculty discuss their work and broader art issues during panel discussions 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 7, and Thursday, September 9 in the University Gallery.

Gallery hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday-Friday and noon-4 p.m. Saturday-Sunday. Sponsored by the Art Department, admission is free and the public is invited. For more information call 410-548-2547 or visit the SU Web site at www.salisbury.edu.
