Environmental Health Students Test Water

SALISBURY, MD--Salisbury State University Environmental health students have been gaining practical laboratory experience by examining water quality on the SSU campus and throughout Wicomico County.

Students in the ENVH 430: Surface and Ground Water class conducted by Dragolijub Bilanovic, assistant professor of environmental health science, recently conducted various tests on SSUâs pool in the Maggs Aquatic Center and found that the pool water was far superior to EPA requirements. To assist students in gaining hands-on experience Wicomico County residents are invited to contact Bilanovic (410-548-9189) before the beginning of the fall semester to have their water tested.

Students involved in the water testing are David Inman of Harwood, MD; Chelsea Brook of Medford, NJ; Barbara Clifford of Parksley, VA; Stephanie Felix of Walkersville, MD; Scott Heinlein of Baltimore; Jeremy Houghton of Federalsburg, MD; Thomas Johnson of Clear Spring, MD; Kimberly Kloss of Marlton, NJ; Jennifer Marsico of Gwyned Valley, PA; Wendy Pugh of Pasadena, MD; and Johnnie Rossy of Cambridge.
