Andrews Speaks on Lyme Disease Controversy November 16

class=""MsoNormal"">SALISBURY, MD---The Salisbury University Environmental Health Science Club explores one of the state’s rapidly increasing diseases when speaker Pam Andrews discusses “Lyme Disease: the Controversy of Tick-Borne Illnesses in Maryland” 7 p.m. Wednesday, November 16, in Henson Science Hall Room 103.

class=""MsoNormal"">Andrews is vice president of the Lyme Disease Foundation, a national non-profit organization dedicated to Lyme disease education, prevention, and research. According to the foundation, the seriousness of Lyme disease has been debated for more than a decade. While some believe the disease is usually mild and virtually always easily cured, others believe the disease may be chronic in some cases, making the infection debilitating and difficult to treat.
