'Arts Scene' Wins Hometown Video Award

SALISBURY, MD---Arts Scene, a magazine-style show spotlighting artists on the Delmarva Peninsula produced by Dr. Frances Kendall, associate professor of communication and theatre arts at Salisbury University and PAC 14, was an award winner in the Visual Arts category at the Alliance for Community Media’s Hometown Video Festival. Kendall submitted an episode spotlighting environmentalist and painter Jonathan Shaw, potter Vesna Vidovec and the Salisbury Film Society. Episode segments also were co-produced by Dr. Haven Simmons, assistant professor of communication and theatre arts at SU and members of the Salisbury Wicomico Arts Council. Post-production and studio components were produced in SU's Television Services with the technical assistance of Cynthia Cornish and Ray Fantini.  The Alliance for Community Media, a non-profit national membership organization founded in 1976, is committed to assuring everyone access to electronic media.
