SOAP's Welcome Week Program Wins National Award

SALISBURY, MD--The Student Organization for Activity Planning (SOAP) at Salisbury State University recently won the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) 1997-98 Excellence in Programming Award for its Welcome Week program.

Presented annually, the award recognizes significant achievements in the planning and presentation of programs by college and university program boards, and is based on several criteria: programmerâs involvement, marketing and diversity, efficiency, creativity and overall presentation of events.

Members of the Welcome Week planning committee are: Carolyn Moloney, Jessica Simone, Heather Crutchfield, Kaaren Tyvoll, Cindy Houghtaling, Anthony Butler, Jay Tringone, Amanda Sawyer, Brandon Palm, Shelly Duguid, Mindy Allen, Katie Davis and Laura Young.
