Gering Speaks on Military Career as Part of Brown Bag Series

SALISBURY, MD---Ret. Col. George W. Gering, a member of the history faculty at Salisbury University, discusses “My 33-year Military Experience” noon Tuesday, December 7, in the Fulton Hall Gallery as part of a special Pearl Harbor Day presentation. Gering’s presentation is scheduled through SU’s Brown Bag Lunch Discussion series. The talk focuses on issues including the events at Pearl Harbor and Gering’s personal experiences in England during WWII, Korea and other duty stations. Gering retired from the Air Force as a colonel in 1975. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Excelsior College and his master’s from the University of Maryland. He has taught at SU since 1978.
