Buffalo Soldiers Workshop August 8-10

SALISBURY, MD -- The Thomas E. Polk, Sr., Chapter of the 9th and 10th (Horse) Cavalry Association of the Buffalo Soldiers presents the second of four workshops for 2001-2002. 

The second workshop is Wednesday, Aug. 8, through Friday, Aug. 10, at Salisbury University’s Montgomery Room in the Commons.  Horseback riding lessons are scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 14. 

Workshops include the history of the Buffalo Soldiers, basic first aid, military field drill maneuvers and horseback riding lessons.  Youth from 11-15 years old from Wicomico, Somerset and Worcester counties are eligible.
