'Eye of the Beholder' Opens April 20"

SALISBURY, MD---Local photographer Rick Maloof shows his work in the Atrium Gallery located in Salisbury State University’s Guerrieri University Center. The show, “The Eye of the Beholder: Portraits of a Peaceful Planet,” opens with a reception on Friday, April 20, from 5-7 p.m., and continues through May 25. This is Maloof’s first one-man show in the area since 1984.

Maloof, an active commercial photographer who has images in numerous books, periodicals, advertisements and calendars, is best known for his sensitive global imagery. He has traveled the world witnessing and capturing the beauty in every day moments. The subjects in his photographs are peacefully involved in everyday chores, but as you witness them you will discover the timelessness in a single moment. Even inanimate objects, doorways, chairs, boats, seem to be at ease in completing their tasks.

Maloof, most recognized for his audio-visual shows at the Balcony Gallery in Berlin, hopes the uninitiated will become future fans of his art with its worldwide perspective.

The Gallery hours are Tuesday-Friday, 10 a.m.-4 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday noon-4 p.m., and closed Monday.
