Ward Museum Receives Grant

SALISBURY, MD---The Ward Museum of Wildfowl Art, an affiliate of Salisbury State University, recently received an $8,982 consultation grant to raise awareness and importance of decoy art and its relationship to the Chesapeake Bay Country’s environment, heritage and community life.

     The grant, ”Wildfowl Art, Waterfowling and Environmental Change in the Bay Country, 1900-2000,” was awarded to the Ward Museum by the National Endowment for the Humanities.

     The funds will provide Ward Museum curators the opportunity to examine their archives and collections, and organize public seminars and traveling exhibitions.
