                   ADULT PIANO CLASS


A new group piano class for adult beginners will be offered on Wednesdays, meeting weekly. The 6-week introductory class will take place in a digital group piano lab, enabling students to hear only their piano and the instructor's piano, fostering a relaxed, stress-free learning environment. The class covers basic principles of music reading and keyboard skills. No music background is assumed or required, and participants will develop keyboard skills that will enable them to play for their own pleasure. It is not necessary to own a piano to enroll, as students can practice at SU.

Suzuki Violin Class
for ages 3-5 years old
Tuesdays, 4:30 - 5:20
Instructor: Bethany Jubilee

Private Lessons for Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass), Piano, Voice, Guitar and most Orchestral and Band Instruments. Group Lessons in Suzuki Violin.
Scheduled on weekday afternoons or Saturday mornings. Specific days and times are decided upon between instructor and parent/student.

The preparatory division of music at Salisbury University offers quality music instruction to students of all ages, levels, and abilities in the Salisbury community and surrounding areas. It is housed in Fulton Hall where participating students and their parents have the opportunity to access SU Music Department’s facilities, faculty expertise and students. Private lessons in strings, piano, voice, guitar and most orchestral and band instruments are available. All professional teachers are experienced and have a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in music. All student teacher interns have been approved by the Department of Music.


Class Options

Private Lessons

  • 12 lessons per semester
  • Half hour; forty-five minutes; or one hour lessons
  • Instruction in strings (violin, viola, cello, and bass), piano, voice, guitar and most orchestral and band instruments
  • Except for piano, students are responsible for obtaining their own instruments

Group Lessons (Applies only to Suzuki violin)

  • 12 lessons per semester
  • 50 minute classes
  • Ages 3-6 years


Attendance:  Regular attendance is expected of all students.  Exceptions include instructor absence and school closings. If SU is closed, there will be no lessons. Students are allowed one excused absence per term which will be made up during the last week of the term or at the instructor's convenience.  In order to be considered an excused absence the instructor must receive notice 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time.

Payment: Students must submit registration form and payment before lessons begin. Payment is made at the Cashier's Office in Holloway Hall 219, and check, cash or credit card is accepted. DISCOVER CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED. Payment can also be mailed to the address listed on the registration form. Please contact Presto office before registering to ensure teacher availability.


  • All make up lessons for student illness will be forfeited upon early withdrawal from the school.
  • Refunds will not be given for withdrawal during the last 3 weeks of the term.


  • All students are required to provide their own instrument (unless otherwise notified by the instructor).
  • Pianos are provided for the lessons but student must have access to their own practice equipment.
