On Thursday, November 20, 2008, the Department of Music was pleased to present classical guitarist Mark Edwards in a solo recital. This was a return visit for Mark, who performed a concerto in the Great Hall last February. On this most recent occasion, Mark performed to a capacity audience in the Fulton Hall Art Gallery, works by Turnina, Regondi, Villa Lobos, Mertz, and Asencio. Following the concert, Mark gave a master class to the Salisbury University guitar majors.

Mark's recital is the first in this season's "Guitar in the Gallery" series. The series continues on February 5, with guitarist Matt Dunlap, and concludes on March 5, with guitar duo Tracy Smith and Robert MacDonald. For more information please contact Dr. Danielle Cumming.
