Amy Sterling
A
native of Menominee, Michigan, Amy Sterling
is a freelance musician and educator. Her
affectionate regard for young musicians,
coupled with concern for the serious
business of their training, fuels her
exploration for technical knowledge and
professional and educational experience.
Her degrees include a B.A. in music
education from the University of Florida and
a M.M. in woodwind performance and pedagogy
from Ohio University. Further study has
included Suzuki Flute Institute at the

owes a debt of gratitude to the influence of
too many fine musicians and teachers to
list.
She concretizes
frequently on the peninsula as adjudicator, clinician,
orchestra and band member, chamber musician and
soloist. Currently the principal bassoonist of the
Mid-Atlantic Symphony, oboist with the Papillon Woodwind

Association, and the International Double Reed Society.
