Lyubov Paskova
Lyubov Paskova
received her Bachelor of Music Degree from the Music Teacher’s
Training College in Saint-Petersburg, Russia, and her Masters
Degree in Music from Saint Petersburg Academy of the Arts where
she studied piano with Tatiana Lupikina. Mrs. Paskova has
taught piano, solfeggio, and theory at the Academy of Arts
Extension Service in St. Petersburg, the Private School of the
Arts in St. Petersburg, and began teaching in 2000 at the
Salisbury Music Center where she was working until December
2006. Currently Luba holds a private piano studio in Salisbury,
MD.
In
December 2001, Luba was appointed
acting chairperson of the Salisbury Center for National Piano
Guild Auditions. In 2006 she was accepted on the board of Judges
for National Guild of Piano Teachers. Mrs. Paskova compiled and
organized the annual recital of Celebration of Great Composers
for local piano students that is sponsored and held at SU.
Luba also performs
piano and organ at Asbury United Methodist Church both in
worship and in concert, and for the summers in 2005, 2006
directed the piano curriculum for the Salisbury Youth Music
Camp. In the past she gave charity performances at Salisbury
University and March of Dimes. In 2006 and again in 2007, she
participated in local radio station Celebration of Music
concert, which showcases classical musicians on the Eastern
Shore. In March 2007, Luba held a solo concert focusing on
Viennese Classics and Russian Romantic music.
Luba teaches class
piano and applied piano as a secondary instrument to all majors.
