Suzuki Violin Class
for ages 3-5 years old
Wednesdays, 4:00 - 4:50 pm
Instructor: Bethany Jubilee

Individual Lessons for Strings (Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass), Piano, Voice, Guitar and most Orchestral and Band Instruments. Group Lessons in Suzuki Violin.
Scheduled on weekday afternoons or Saturday mornings. Specific days and times are decided upon between instructor and parent/student.

The performing arts education outreach program at Salisbury University offers quality instruction to students of all ages, levels and abilities in the Salisbury community and surrounding areas. It is housed in Fulton Hall, where participating students and their parents have the opportunity to access its facilities, faculty expertise and students. Individual lessons in piano, strings, voice, guitar and most band and orchestral instruments are available. Various classes for pre-college students and adults are also offered.

Class Options:

Individual Lessons

  • 12 lessons per semester
  • Half hour; forty-five minutes; or one hour lessons
  • Instruction in strings (violin, viola, cello, and bass), piano, voice, guitar and most orchestral and band instruments
  • Except for piano, students are responsible for obtaining their own instruments

Group Lessons and Classes:

NEW Theatre Class:

  • 12 week session
  • offered to 8th - 12th grade students
  • 50 minute class

Adult Group Piano

  • Two 6-week sessions per semester
  • 50 minute classes

Suzuki Violin

  • Two 6-week sessions per semester
  • 50 minute classes
  • Ages 3-5 years old

Policies

Attendance: Regular attendance is expected of all students. Exceptions include instructor absence and school closings. If SU is closed, there will be no lessons or classes.

Lesson Scheduling: Lessons are on weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings. Specific times are decided between instructor and parent/student. Students are allowed one excused absence per term, which will be made up during the last week of the term or at the teacher's convenience. The teacher must receive notice of the absence at least 24 hours prior to the scheduled lesson time in order to be considered an excused absence. Instructors are not required to make up additional absences. Please contact the PRESTO office before registering to ensure instructor availability.

Payment: Students must submit registration form and payment before lessons begin. Payment may be made in 3 ways: online, by mail, or in person at the Cashier's Office (Holloway Hall 219). Personal checks, credit cards (MasterCard and Visa) and cash are accepted. DISCOVER CARDS ARE NOT ACCEPTED.

Discounts:

  • 10% Multiple Sibling Discount: Available for families registering more than one sibling. Students must register at the same time and for the full session to receive the discount.
  • 10% Multiple Class of Multiple Lesson Type Discount: Available for students registering for one or more classes or lessons in multiple instruments/voice. Students must register for classes or lessons at the same and for the full session to receive the discount.

Refunds:

  • All make up lessons for student illness will be forfeited upon early withdrawal from the school.
  • Refunds will not be given for withdrawal during the last 3 weeks of the term.
  • All refunds are subject to a 10% processing fee

Instruments:

  • All students are required to provide their own instrument for lessons and practice (unless otherwise notified by the instructor).
