Our office has sponsored the Intercultural Orientation Program for Students of Color (i.e. Powerful Connections, 2009) for the past ten years. We are very pleased that you have selected Salisbury University as your destination to receive a quality education. Our goal is to provide opportunities for your to connect with upper-class students of color through our Peer Mentor Program and to become acclimated with the campus as well as the Office of Multicultural Student Services and its programs through this experience. Our program has been a vital link for new students of color and their success at the University.

Program Goals:

To pre-orient students of color to Salisbury University
To provide an opportunity to connect with upper-class students through peer mentoring
To orient new students to the Office of Multicultural Student Services and its programs, goals, activities and available resources
To orient students to academic expectations and social responsibility
To help students become acquainted with the campus
